Service Description
At each one-day event, individual shooters will shoot two rounds of an “NBA-style” 3-point competition – ie: five racks of five balls in 70 seconds. Shooters will also shoot two lots of ten free-throws. Each shooter’s best 3-point score will be combined with their best free-throw score to achieve their final score for the day. In each age division a winner will be announced. Event winners will be invited to a National final event, producing an ABSL National Champion in each category. Participants will be scheduled with a group of ten shooters in a one-hour time-slot. During the one hour period, participants will shoot their two rounds of 3-point shots. During the one hour period, participants will rotate through other positions, rebounding and setting up racks for fellow shooters. Free throws will be shot at another basket, and shooters can complete their two lots of 10 free-throws at their leisure, either before or after their 1 hour 3-point timeslot. Shooters will use an appropriately-sized Wilson basketball for their age/gender category: Size 7 - Open Mens, U/18 Boys Size 6 - Open Womens, U/18 Girls, U/14 Boys, U/14 Girls Size 5 - U/12 Boys*, U/12 Girls* *Under 12s will shoot on a 10ft rim. Due to the nature of the ABSL competition and schedule of events, all bookings are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-interchangeable.
